Knocking Out Another Monday Training Run

I really enjoy being able to just turn on the workout worship music and just run while having one-on-one time, just me and God.

This morning the Rusch family was on my mind and is in my prayers. I spent 10 years working at a Christian camp and was blessed to work with some many amazing people serving and ministering to others. I am totally blown away when I hear of the trials many of them end up going through. I do still trust in God’s truth that “in this world you will have trouble, but take heart, I have overcome the world.” I can’t even imagine what it is going to be like for the Rusch family but I know that God will be with them every step of the way.

Just Another Tuesday Morning 10K

Since I kind of felt at an odd place training plan-wise I decided to do a long and hard run. I did however make sure I spent some time connecting with God through prayer and some worship music. During my run I couldn’t help feel blessed, and thankful, for my quick recovery from my surgery. I had the impression that I would have weeks of no running, but my recovery went so well I was feeling good for a run within a week. I also was reminded that just a little over a year ago I had just returned from a trip to Sierra Leone Africa. I will never forget my experience there and the impact it has had on my life. Just Shy Of A Half Marathon Before Breakfast

This week is supposed to be the start of the training taper before the River Bank Run 25K next week. With a long interval run this morning it’s hard to think of this being a taper, but there isn’t a run scheduled for Saturday according to the plan I’m following so I guess that signifies a taper. ? It honestly kind of surprised me how close I was to getting in a half marathon distance in this morning. With the first hour of the run being a normal slower run I enjoyed a good time of worship and prayer. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyiRun #RiverBankRun
