11 Frosty Beard Miles
Today marks the last of my longer training runs as the taper begins before marathon day. The temp this morning was in the high teens which resulted in a pretty frosty beard. I ended up pushing things a little harder than the training plan called for, but I was trying to make it back home at a decent time. I ended up a bit slower the second half because I pushed things a bit harder than I should have, but that’s just the way it goes. I finished the last half mile strong though. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRGus Give clean water: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr

Enabling A Community With Clean Water
When clean water is brought to a community it’s not done suddenly and randomly then moving on to another random village. World Hope(#WHI) works with a carefully chosen village to establish ownership of the well by that village. The village agrees to manage and care for the well in order to serve their community for the long term. The are taught how to maintain and repair the well, and are tasked with protecting it as well. This model follows the saying, “Give a man a fish, feed him today. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime.”. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon Donate to Clean Water: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr

Water, Let Alone Clean Water, Doesn’t Come Easy To Many
For many, even though water may be near it doesn’t mean that’s is easy or safe to get to and it still may not even be safe to drink, but it’s all they may have. As we are in the Christmas season consider giving the gift of clean water. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #RiverBankRun Help make safe water accessible: https://timn.me/2020HWI

First Interval Run Of My New #RBR Training Plan
It was a cool morning with a hint of a light snowfall. Generally, cooler runs make for easier runs. I’m not sure what was going on with my heart rate monitor this morning as it was all over the place, reporting zero bpm. #RiverBankRun #RBR #HWI #Training #Run4Water View my workout stats…

Hitting The Pavement After The Grand Rapids Marathon
Back in the saddle with an “easy” 9 mile run. I’m still finding it hard to keep a consistent pace. I tried to keep it in the 10:14 min/mile pace but it’s hard for me to get in a rhythm at that pace. It felt good to be back out running again after the marathon. I enjoy the quiet time. I’m still trying to hit the $2000 mark for clean water. I’ve only got $350 more to go. I’m praying that my show of dedication to running inspires someone to partner with me. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun Donate to Clean Water – https://timn.me/2t9D4ne

Fight Against The Treadmill
Today was a big fight against the new(used) treadmill. I guess it was hill training this morning. I have to figure out this new treadmill so that I can actually use it in line with my training schedule. I felt slow and frustrated this morning. Blah. Tim just finished a Runtastic treadmill training of 3.2 mi in 40m 15s
