After discovering the realities of seclusion and restraint with our autistic daughter at school my wife an I are learning more about the realities of our schools and culture in how kids with special needs are being handled. We don’t disagree that something needs to be done, but there are alternatives that are safer and better for everyone. A Timely Study I Needed This Week
This was an interesting week to say the least. Did it go like I had planned, or hoped, maybe not? This week did teach me some clear areas I need to work on as a parent, and an even greater appreciation for how amazing my wife is. This study was both timely and needed as I worked through this week. I highly recommend anyone in the parenting stage to give this devotional a read, but prepared to be challenged by it.

Wasteful Weekends, Geeks…Gotta Love Em
So yeah, I pretty much wasted the weekend away again. Not totally, but I could have done a lot more than I did. I guess I sort of get tired of doing stuff, like work, all the time and want some time to just kick back and relax. I’m feeling like I’m kind of spinning my wheels with the web job. I really like to nail down the site design before I do the custom programming stuff. The problem is they’ve given me hardly anything to work with. Well Monday will have to be a big day to work on getting stuff going. I guess I’m going to worry less about the design and make sure the funcitonality is all there. So yeah, not much…
Fun Family Time At The Children’s Museum
I love that our family has a membership to the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum. We can spend hours their with the kids. We audio hey the benefit of their exchange program where our membership gets us into additional places like the Grand Rapids Public Museum and John Ball Zoo. I highly recommend considering a membership of you can afford it. Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States of America
Evening At The Park With The Family
Had a wonderful evening with the family at Rosewood Park. We didn’t know the splash pad was even running yet. We will have to come back another day to enjoy it. The kids were bummed but did take their shoes and socks off to play in the puddles. Michigan, United States of America
