Knocking Out Some Early Morning Miles With A Hope Water Teammate
I had the pleasure of finishing out the last 10 miles of my run with my #HWI teammate Justin. It’s so nice to have both the motivation, and distraction, of someone else on the longer runs. It really helps melt the miles away. This is Justin’s first year with Hope Water, and his first marathon. I enjoyed being able to share my previous years of experience and what I’ve learned. #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon If you haven’t already donated to Hope Water please consider donating to Justin’s fundraiser: https://www.hopewaterinternational.org/fundraisers/888
Early Race Pace Run, Sort Of, Before The Men’s Breakfast
How can you say no to these children? With your donation you can make double the impact with our matching funds. $255 to go, meaning another 19 people impacted with clean water. Don’t wait, it’s easy to give now! https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr #HWI #Run4Water #WhtIRun #GRMarathon I had to get up at 4ak this morning in order to get my 15 miles in before the Men’s Breakfast. Today the goal was to do the whole run at my anticipated marathon race pace, which I’m targeting a 9:30 min/mile. Tackling The Fitness Level Test Run
Today was just a short fitness level test run. I was kind of hoping I might hit the 5k mark but I just wasn’t fast enough to get that additional half mile in. I’m curious how #Endomondo is going to adjust my training plan after this run. I really didn’t have much of a quiet time due to the intensity of the run. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRGus
First Interval Training Run in A Long Time

5 Mile Labor Of Love On Labor Day
Help bring a brighter future through clean water: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon #CleanWater A well in Africa may not look like much, it’s not fancy, but it literally can mean the difference between life and death for children and families. I’m $875 away from hitting my $1000 fundraising goal. Right now we have matching funds available, so this means every dollar someone gives is two. It’s the best time to give and have your gift doubled. I had a good Monday recovery run this morning. Once I got in the groove things felt great. I was pleasantly surprised when my trudging along at the start actually turned out to be a faster pace than it felt like.
