Early Tuesday Morning Training Run For Clean Water
It’s a strange thing comparing your hot midday run to your cool early morning. I would have thought that I was going to knock my pace out of the park this morning but alas no. I have to believe that my lack of rest last night was a major contributor. The interesting thing was seeing my heart rate drop to the low to mid 130s during miles 5 & 6. I can only attribute that to my shower pace during those miles while I was pretty focused on prayer for family, friends, and those needing water in Sierra Leone, like the village of #Ronkorhun. I’m hoping to find those one again that are willing to partner with me to bring clean water to Africa as…

Wells And Wellness…And Treadmills
I decided to run on the treadmill this morning for my speed work, partly due to the down pouring rain. It was the toughest training run I’ve had in awhile. I’ve always considered the treadmill as the most boring and dreaded running you can do. I’ve starting to change my opinion on the treadmill. Instead of the dreaded thing I’ve always seen it as, however I have some to respect it, it challenges you in ways that the outdoors doesn’t. Needless to say today the treadmill won. I only made it to 6 miles and cut the last 23 minutes of my run. I did this photo collage to show that I not only #Run4Water but I also run for my health. About 3.5 years…
Tackling 20 Miles With The Hope Water & Grand Rapids Marathon Teams
I’ve still got another $355 to go in the next 3 weeks to hit my goal for wells in Africa. There is also still donation matching that will be applied so your gift will actually have double the impact. Will you partner with me to bring clean water to Africa? Donate now: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon This morning I got up early, which is typical for me, and headed to the YMCA in downtown Grand Rapids to meet up with the Hope Water Team to run our 12 & 20 mile training runs. I got through about the the first 15 miles clipping along at about a 9:15 min/mile pace. When I got to about mile 15 something started rubbing on the side of…
