It was an especially stressful week. Getting a long run in and reading this devotional helped to turn things around. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. – Philippians 4:13 NLT
“God designed your children, and he placed them in your care…You are the right person for the job, because God himself has assigned you the task. And he is committed to seeing you through.” – Devotions for Sacred Parenting by Gary L. Thomas
Donate to Clean Water, Donate to the Future: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon Putting in a well in a village in Africa doesn’t only provide for an immediate need, it also impacts future generations. Wells in Africa have the potential to change who the next president or prime minister could be, or the next Olympic gold medalist, or the next major entrepreneur that could change the economic structure. Clean water changes the world and the future. What are we going to invest in, gathering some things that won’t last, or impacting our world and future generations?
I took about a week break for recovery after the Groundhog Marathon. Normally I’d start a reverse training following a marathon, but with only 3 months to go before the Riverbank Run I really couldn’t afford the time in order to get a good amount of training in. With some new shoes, and a fresh coat of snow, it felt good to be back out there stopping on the pavement. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #RBR
