Running For Wells In Africa Means Lives Are Changed

While I have been involved with Hope Water International, I have seen first hand the lives that are changed. Obviously, being able to travel to Sierra Leone Africa I saw what kind of life change can occur for people there. However, the other place that lives are changed are right here within the Team. The support of each other in the HWI community has helped people accomplish more than they had ever thought. That is another reason with the HWI Team. When you have a group that is on a mission to show love to people half way around the world that they may never know, that loves spills over into the group itself.

Wow, that is all I can say about the weather this morning on my run. Between the freezing rain pelting me, the massive wind gusts, and the snow-covered sidewalks that reduced my traction to almost zero, let’s just say I felt like I ran 12 miles not just shy of 6. Final Minnesota run this morning. Got some hills in as well as a fast interval run. The temperature has been getting warmer, the feels like is now above zero. Makes for a bit more of a comfortable run when the wind gets wiping. My problem is that I can’t sustain my faster pace for an entire full marathon, and I question even a half marathon right now. Another Tough Interval Training Run

I’m not sure what to make of yet another hard interval run. It is training so to a degree it should be hard. I guess I’m hopeful that in the end I will be better trained for the #GRGus Groundhog Day Marathon come February. I think I consider it a failure when I can’t hit the intervals all right on with the expected pace. Maybe I’m focusing too much on the plan and trying to get better instead of just being content with being ready to simply finish the marathon. There is also the aspect of not losing sight of the reasons I run. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun
