Another Interval Run That Kicked My Butt

I did get out yesterday but was caught in the rain so I didn’t get anything posted. Today was a bit farther and I attempted an interval run that kicked my butt. It wasn’t pretty, but I got my run in and finished.

Short easy 5 mile training run this morning. My focus this morning was on the Jon Martinson family and the people of Sierra Leone. I can’t begin to know what it’s like to lose a spouse or parent at a young age. It’s hard to believe that a man I worked alongside for years, and was always way healthier than me, is facing his last days. As for Sierra Leone, last night I happened to catch a little montage video of my trip, back in May, that Google Photos made. It brought back so many feelings from my time there. This morning was a bonus #Endomondo training run day. According to the Endomondo marathon training plan I needed to do at least 5 days of running per week which meant adding Wednesdays as a running day instead of the #HWI training plan’s cross training day. I haven’t gone through to see how other things line up though I have my doubts much will actually line up. We’ll see what plan I end up following in the end. I spent some time thinking about, and praying for, the people in Sierra Leone, especially those that I encountered last year when I was there.
