My son and I started Chapter 2 of our #LOTR Journeys Through Middle Earth campaign tonight. I think we were a bit too confident in our abilities to battle and fight all of the enemies and I took a ton of damage and we lost. We’ll be on to Chapter 3 after we recover. Hopefully we’ve learned a few things from this defeat. #BoardGames #BoardGaming

While I did have to focus a little bit on the speed work part of my training run this morning, I spent a good part of that time reflecting on a lot of what God has been speaking to me about over the past week. I was challenged last night at the Daybreak missions dinner with what I am doing with my running, and my experience going to Sierra Leone. Having seen first hand what it’s like in Sierra Leone, I’m feeling challenged to evaluate how well I am using my running and my experience to make a difference. This leads into the regular feeling I get that God wants me to do more to serve Him. I struggle with knowing what that all means,…
For some time now I’ve struggled with continuing to post my runs. I used to tell myself that I was trying to bring awareness to the need for clean water in the world, especially to our brothers and sisters in Sierra Leone, Africa. The needs in our world are so many and we can’t all focus on all of them but we need some of…
I felt pretty good starting out this morning with a speedy starting pace. It was a short run this morning so I kicked it up a notch s bit above the easy pace that was called for. I love it a couple of the worship songs come on that talk about running or moving, those really get me fired up. One thing is for certain, winter running is certainly my thing. I’m not sure if I’d go so far as to say that I would choose winter over summer, but it comes close. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRGus
After a couple of weeks of tough interval runs I finally nailed one pretty well. I think my take away is that when it comes to training, as with much in life, you are going to have hard days that you can barely get through. Those are the days you have to have in order to have growth and future success. So we need to celebrate the hard days just as well as good days. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRGus Donate to Water, to Life – https://timn.me/2t9D4ne
