I hit my $1000 fundraising goal but there are many other team members still working to reach their goals. Partner with #HWI and help bring clean water to those in need. https://www.hopewaterinternational.org/teams/49 #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon There are only 5 more days before the Grand Rapids Marathon, which will be my 4th marathon. This week the number of runs is winding down, with only a short interval run this morning. I’ll do another short easy run on Thursday. It’s hard to believe that the marathon is this week already. No matter how much I train I always still feel a little nervous going into a race. There are many on the team where this will be their first full or half marathon, and the good thing…
The family got a good night’s sleep and had a fun day full of #activities. A lot time at the #playgrounds, #swimming, #crafts, #wagon rides, #treats from the camp store, and finished off with another #campfire with #smores. #FamilyCamping Dorr, Michigan, United States of America
Decided to “follow” the #Endomondo training plan today to get a longer interval run in. So far I’ve been doing some mix of the #HWI training plan and the Endomondo one. We’ll see how well that works out for me. It was a very cool morning for a run, I was pretty surprised when I stepped out the door. It made for great weather for a run. While I listened to a #worship running mix I focused on praying for my wife and kids. Life has been challenging recently with the kids. I’m glad they are back in school but that is presenting it’s own challenges as well. #GRMarathon #Run4Water
I finished up my run this morning with a tough second half. This seems to be the norm right now, but every day I get out and run is still one step closer to being able to make it farther or longer. #HWI #KCC #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRHalfMarathon
Since I kind of felt at an odd place training plan-wise I decided to do a long and hard run. I did however make sure I spent some time connecting with God through prayer and some worship music. During my run I couldn’t help feel blessed, and thankful, for my quick recovery from my surgery. I had the impression that I would have weeks of no running, but my recovery went so well I was feeling good for a run within a week. I also was reminded that just a little over a year ago I had just returned from a trip to Sierra Leone Africa. I will never forget my experience there and the impact it has had on my life. Seeing first hand…
Had a fun evening playing some Kemet with the guys. Took a long time to get through since most of us have not played enough to get a good strategy down. Played Kemet on 2018-07-27 at Eric Smithhart’s with 1) John (Naga Viper) as Yellow: 10 – Win! 2) Vince Isenhoff as Blue: 4 3) Eric Smithheart (new) as Red: 5 4) Tim (timnolte) as Black: 7
