After having had a few colds this past winter, and their negative effects on my running, I’ve decided to start taking vitamin D3 again. Having a cold while running was making it hard to breath and caused me to have a higher heartrate which was not great. I need to keep working on a the health journey I’ve been on and based on a lot of information I’ve listened to in the past most people in the U.S. are vitamin D3 deficient so it’s a good thing to do.
I should be clear that vitamin D3 alone is not a cure or surefire prevention for getting a cold. However, it is attributed to a better performing immune system. Anything that will help my breathing, and my overall running, is a good thing in my book.
