Best Treadmill Run So Far
Back home at the gym and I had my best distance yet on the treadmill. I think putting in the extra time on my parents treadmill over the holiday trip was well worth it.

I got 11 miles in this morning even though it was raining. With being stuck inside, and at home, pretty much all the time, I was glad to get out end enjoy the end of my run in some daylight. When I finished I enjoyed getting on a Zoom call with the #HWI team and catching up a little bit. After a brief hiatus on Tuesday, no thanks to a cold and a bad nights rest, I was back out for my early morning run. I really had my butt kicked with a high intensity interval run. I think my only slight advantage was have a previous week of out of the park fast runs. I could sure tell that I had missed a day of running though. Regardless of how tough it might have been it still felt good to be back out running. On Tuesday when I didn’t get out for my run the whole day seemed off. As I ran another 5 miles this morning I couldn’t help but think about the added struggle #COVID19 is now causing in Sierra Leone. I don’t think anyone complaining about the U.S. hardships has even thought about the fact that we still have it pretty good compared to places like Sierra Leone. With all of our indoor plumbing we don’t have to think about travelling 2 miles to a crowded well to gather water.
