Another great morning with the #HWI team this morning. Had a great time finishing out the run talking with Steve, who gave an awesome and inspiring #WhyIRun story this morning. #Run4Water #GRMarathon
As I wrapped up another 5 miles this morning my thoughts turned to the daily struggle to survive for so many in Sierra Leone. The hardship of trying to gather water, and not even clean water for many, is real. Adding the begin of the spread of #COVID19 in he country and I am deeply concerned about all of those I was blessed with meeting when I visited almost 2 years ago. They don’t have anywhere near the facilities and access to services that we have in the U.S. and they are in desperate need our investment in their future. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon #RiverBankRun Invest in the future of Sierra Leone: https://timn.me/2020HWI
I only have $355 to go to hit my goal of $1000 for clean water. Every dollar given is being matched so your gift will have double the impact. Donate today! https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon
Gathering water is a daily activity for most. Easy access to clean water allows for more family time, education for children, and better health for all. Be a part of changing our world today! https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon
It was hard to get up this morning but after getting out the door, and getting some time in, I finished my run and actually felt good both physically and mentally.
Despite it being a rainy morning it still felt good to be out for a run. After the 2017 #GRMarathon downpour, and consistent winter training, I’m pretty much good to run in anything. If you are going to run a race outside you have to train in everything if you want to be prepared. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun
