Nearing The End Of The Marathon Training, Only One More To Go

2nd to the last marathon training run today. Since I took a break yesterday in order to get some extra rest I decided to stick with the #Endomondo plan which called for some speed work, well sort of. ? I spent the slower end of the run lifting many of my family up in prayer, in addition to those in Africa that are still waiting for access to clean water. Our world is full of both physical and spiritual needs. When we take care of the physical needs it paves the way for the spiritual needs. #HWI #GRMarathon #Run4Water #WhyIRun Donate to Life – https://timn.me/2t9D4ne

Getting To The End Of Training, Where Have The Miles Gone

Nearing the end of the Thursday training runs, one more next week before the big #GRMarathon day. These short training runs go by quick that is for sure. The #HWI team still has some more to go on the fundraising. There is still a match going on so every dollar someone gives is really two. #Run4Water #WhyIRun Donate to Water – https://timn.me/2t9D4ne

Last Full Training Week Before The Big Day

Pretty much unheard of for me today ended up being an evening training run, and an #Endomondo one at that. I started off way better than the start of a typical morning run, but given I’ve had a whole day to get my body moving that sort of makes sense. It was still pretty warm and humid, though I really appreciated the occasional breeze. I can’t wait until the temps cool down more. It did get me thinking about what those in Africa have to deal with, just walking, to go for miles just to get a container of water. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun Donate to Water – https://timn.me/2t9D4ne I did spend a lot of time thinking about my former camp co-worker Jon and his family….

I Am Blessed To Be Able To Run

Short easy 5 mile training run this morning. My focus this morning was on the Jon Martinson family and the people of Sierra Leone. I can’t begin to know what it’s like to lose a spouse or parent at a young age. It’s hard to believe that a man I worked alongside for years, and was always way healthier than me, is facing his last days. As for Sierra Leone, last night I happened to catch a little montage video of my trip, back in May, that Google Photos made. It brought back so many feelings from my time there. I hope that I can return again. I’m also thankful to be a part of improving life there. #HWI #GRMarathon #Run4Water Donate to Clean Water…
