    Hitting The Training Run Hard

Today was a short assessment training run, basically 12 minutes of giving it all you’ve got. It’s preceded by, and follows, a 5 minute warmup & cool down run respectively. I did an out-and-back while giving myself some distance for a final cool down walk to home. We’ll see what this means for my final target pace for the Groundhog Marathon. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRGus I’m looking forward to representing Hope Water at the Groundhog Marathon again. How Often Do We Use Water?

In the U.S. pretty much everyone has running water where they live. How much water do we use in a day? Showers, meals, washing dishes and clothes, using the bathroom, watering the flowers/garden/lawn, making coffee/tea/other drinks. What if you had to walk 2-5 miles to get a jug of water, maybe even river or pond water? Can you imagine what it would be like to have clean, drinkable, water just down the block? While we might still consider having to go even a block to get more water and inconvenience, think about the life change close access to clean water actually makes in the lives of those that don’t have it. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon Give The Gift of Access to Clean Water: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr

Tackling A Rainy And Intense Fitness Level Run

Despite it being a rainy morning it still felt good to be out for a run. After the 2017 #GRMarathon downpour, and consistent winter training, I’m pretty much good to run in anything. If you are going to run a race outside you have to train in everything if you want to be prepared. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun

    New Route, Same Running Partner

I met up with my running partner at the Riley Street Middle School this morning, and we tackled a new running route. Runner’s know you don’t want change up too much at once. It was a mostly rural run, had to run the roads for the majority of the route, but that was just fine, while have some good conversation with my running partner. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #RiverBankRun
