After a rocky start to the weekend on Friday we did our best to make the most of a rainy weekend at the Jellystone Campground in Fremont Indiana. We started off Saturday morning with our big breakfast meal. After breakfast, and a little fishing, we took in a train ride around the campground. After our lunch we did some more fishing, of course. Both the kids enjoyed fishing, especially when they kept getting bites. The nice part is that the pond was catch and release, and the kids really didn’t care how big the fish were. Tackling The Ice Mounds, An Endurance Test

It was a tough go of it this morning tackling the ice mounds left behind by the snow plows. Winter running is not the time to be working on speed that is for sure. Many times I had to take to running on the snow covered grassy areas in order not to trip and fall. I should stress here the importance of wearing proper footwear when running in the winter, and that means wearing some sort of cleats. We got on our flight to Paris. It was nice to have most of us fairly close together on the flight. We had a short time in Paris at the airport. Got some coffee recharged electronic device and took a chance to get to know each other better. Mike likes to be the jokester of the group. I don’t think any of us got much sleep in on the flight from Paris to Freetown. Dawn beat me at a game of checkers on the in flight media system.
