Starting The Day With God

Whatever you’ve done and whatever you face, turn to God first, each morning. Give him your day, and then allow him to guide each step.

Something that I’ve tried to stick to for years is to start my day off with having time with God. I can’t say it always happens, or that it’s always the quality time it should be. We all need time to focus on God, and what better time than first thing in the morning to get our day’s focus in the right place first.

    Taking A Moment To Update…

    Well, fine folks who have been patiently, or impatiently, been waiting for my next real post. I’m taking this time I have during lunch to give a little recap of what’s been going on in my life. I’ve been working to reduce the stress in my life and not take on anymore work. The only problem with this, it gives me time to fill. What have I decided to do with this free time, start a podcast.   • Time To Get Serious: Better Than Gold

    Psalm 19:7-14, we need God’s Word. This passage in the Psalms is telling us what the Word of God can do for us: 1.) it’s comprehensive; and can change your whole person, 2.) it teaches you how to live; and gives wisdom, 3.) shows you the true path; you can’t see life as it really is without it, 4.) the Word is pure and perfect without fault. The reading also talks about how so many things in the world today take away from being in God’s Word, and holding it more valuable.     A Little Behind…LOL

    I just realized how funny that title could be read. LOL. Anyways, I just realized I haven’t posted since like Friday, WOW! Ok, so I should have a lot to write about right, well not so much. Also this going to bed early thing has really been cutting into my blogging time. That and the fact that I’ve been doing some reading each night besides. There just doesn’t seem to be enough time in the day for everything. Maybe I’ll have to start doing a mid-day thing, like during lunch. Since I’m usually a long poster this would at least break my posts up into smaller chunks. Well, hmm…I’ll try to get something more in, to recap the weekend, perhaps in the morning. I’m off…

    Busy Days, Lazy Nights…

    Just wanted to make a quick post. My days, Monday & Tuesday, were crazy busy. On the other hand both evenings were kind of lazy on my part. Monday I did try working on recording some music. That would have been better if I ended up actually having something to show for the time I spent. I sort of had something, probably was trying to add in some percussion loops to what I had recorded. I ended up having my own timing on what I recorded. Well, of course I didn’t save each take as a seperate recording session, GarageBand still seems a bit odd to work with at times. Last night I just worked on trying to update some software both on the podcast…

    Better Together – Why We Need Community

    Community is God’s answer to defeat. You need to find the people who will stand with you in tough times and say, “We’re not going to let you get discouraged. We’re not going to let you get depressed. We’re not going to let you worry.
