Warm-up and Cool Down For Running – Video

These are all things I need to start doing. By God’s grace I haven’t got any injuries yet but if I keep pushing myself and don’t do the things I should I’m going to hurt myself and then I’ll be out for running altogether.

My run this morning consisted of a combo of an #Endomondo easy and a #HWI hard Tuesday run. Though many might see me as not knowing the meaning of an easy run, ha. I spent a lot of time reflecting on my time in Sierra Leone and the defining moment that occurred and encapsulates why I run. How do you process, and what action do you take when a woman is so desperate for water that she wants you to take her child away so that they have a chance to survive? Knocking Out Another Monday Training Run

I really enjoy being able to just turn on the workout worship music and just run while having one-on-one time, just me and God. This morning the Rusch family was on my mind and is in my prayers. I spent 10 years working at a Christian camp and was blessed to work with some many amazing people serving and ministering to others. I am totally blown away when I hear of the trials many of them end up going through. A Hot Morning Run To Remember Sierra Leone

We’re definitely into the hot #summer runs. I can’t imagine doing my #training run later in the day with this heat, especially not with lots of water. I thought 1 bottle was going to be enough this morning, boy was I wrong. Despite the heat I still had a good time focusing on prayer and listening to God. Time For New Shoes

I didn’t get up early enough to get the additional 2 miles in that was on the HWI training plan, but I met the #Endomondo training plan miles. I knocked out the run with a pretty fast pace to get done before the running group met at 7am. It was way faster than the 9:53/9:23 pacing I was supposed to be running. I made it in time though.
