    Back At It After A Long Weekend Break

    It was a little bit of a struggle starting out this morning after having a long weekend of no running. Felt better by the end of my run. Through one of the worship songs this morning I was prompted to pray specifically for the father’s of Sierra Leone. There are many women and children that have been abandoned because of cultural stigmatism.     DNF 14 Miles, Winter Won Today

    Some days you have a hard run, then there are some days where your it’s just brutal. Today the deep coat of fresh snow got the better of me. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRGus I was even doing my best just stick with my training plan running pace of 11:01/mi, but that wasn’t enough to get me through it. After 10 miles I just need to rest, which was only 2.5 miles after I had started up again running with the Hope Water team for maybe a mile before we parted ways. It’s tough having a day like to day knowing that in 2 weeks I’m supposed to be running a marathon (26.2 miles for those that don’t know).

    A Bad Great Run

    How can a great run be bad? When you are struggling to follow the plan and slow down. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #RiverBankRun Help bring clean water to Africa: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr I know it probably sounds crazy that I’m saying it was bad to be going too fast, when many may feel like they can’t ever get faster. My problem is that I can’t sustain my faster pace for an entire full marathon, and I question even a half marathon right now.     Nearing The End Of The 25K Training

    I’m on the taper part of my training as the #RiverBankRun approaches this Saturday. After not running for a few days I wondered how this morning would even go. It started off slow but by the end I was cruisin’. I managed to get another PR this morning which feels like a good place to be going into race week. My plan right now will be to stick with the pacers on Saturday. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun
