A Bad Great Run
How can a great run be bad? When you are struggling to follow the plan and slow down. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #RiverBankRun Help bring clean water to Africa: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr I know it probably sounds crazy that I’m saying it was bad to be going too fast, when many may feel like they can’t ever get faster. My problem is that I can’t sustain my faster pace for an entire full marathon, and I question even a half marathon right now. When I start too fast I use up so much energy that I hit a big wall too early on. Part of the reason for slower long runs is to build up endurance. How Often Do We Use Water?
In the U.S. pretty much everyone has running water where they live. How much water do we use in a day? Showers, meals, washing dishes and clothes, using the bathroom, watering the flowers/garden/lawn, making coffee/tea/other drinks. What if you had to walk 2-5 miles to get a jug of water, maybe even river or pond water? Can you imagine what it would be like to have clean, drinkable, water just down the block? While we might still consider having to go even a block to get more water and inconvenience, think about the life change close access to clean water actually makes in the lives of those that don’t have it. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon Give The Gift of Access to Clean Water: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr

As I listened to the worship music play I prayed for the #HWI Team’s training and races, as well as for the people of Sierra Leone, that God would provide exactly what they each needed. #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon
