Had a nice cool 14 mile run this morning. It’s amazing how much cooler temperatures make a difference in how you feel on the longer runs. Felt great all the way to the end. It was a bit shorter run than last week of course. Loved seeing everyone out for the group run this morning. I was glad to have gotten the 14 miles wrapped up just in time for the start of group run. #HWI #GRMarathon #Run4Water

Just shy of hitting the 7 mile mark but even so I was trying to crank out those miles for #HWI and bring awareness to the massive need for clean water in Africa. I only need $15/day from now until #GRMarathon day to hit my $1000 goal. #Run4Water #WhyIRun Give to Wells in Africa: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr
Finished day 2 of my 7 miles a day challenge and feeling good looking forward to the days ahead.
No training with my running partner this morning as he is doing a 5k this evening. Not a huge problem since I was needing to do a short speed & endurance test run this morning. We’ll see how it affects the rest of the training plan. Unfortunately, these sorts of runs end up resulting in me focusing only on the run and not much else. Since I got up at the normal training run time I should have some extra non-running quiet time to morning. #HWI #GRMarathon #Run4Water
There are so many children in Sierra Leone that can be impacted by access to clean water. The impact it makes in their lives can be the difference between having an education or not, just trying to survive the day or thriving. Bringing clean water to those in need transforms communities. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon Donate to Clean Water: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr
When you are a runner the colder winter temperatures are either a motivator or a demotivator. Once I get out the door, then the outside temperature is my motivation for how fast I’m going to run. This morning the single digit temp helped me kick things up a notch. During my run, most of my thoughts were on the Sierra Leone team…
