I’m on the taper part of my training as the #RiverBankRun approaches this Saturday. After not running for a few days I wondered how this morning would even go. It started off slow but by the end I was cruisin’. I managed to get another PR this morning which feels like a good place to be going into race week. My plan right now will be to stick with the pacers on Saturday. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun
After an 11 mile Tuesday run today seemed like it was barely worth getting out of bed for, but it is a necessary part of the training plan in order for it to be adjusted for how I’m actually doing. No worries about the lack of distance today as I believe I’m set to do a half marathon training run on Saturday. I was sort of hoping I might hit the 5K mark this morning but I was bit shy of that. I still managed some sort of PR. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #RiverBankRun #Endomondo
After a late night with not quite enough sleep, and still feeling some tired legs, I didn’t do the training plan’s optional additional 15 minute run. These days running has been anything but routine. #HWI #Run4Water #GroundhogMarathon #Garmin #Running
Ultimately my goal is always just to finish. Whether I find myself having to take some running breaks, or struggling against heat and humidity, in the end it’s all about finishing. #HWI #KCC #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRHalfMarathon #RiverBankRun
It’s been more of a challenge to get these posts out soon after my run. I’m still going after those miles and trying to keep people aware of the great need for clean water there still is in our world. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon #RiverBankRun Give a matching gift for clean water: https://timn.me/2020HWI
