Even When Away, And Things May Be Not Working, You Can Still Run

I’m not quite sure my pace was actually that good on account of my phone GPS not working, my heart rate monitor not working, and not having my watch(it didn’t charge over night). It turned out to be a run where I just had to gauge my distance based on how much time it might take me to get to the half way mark. According to Google Maps I went father than I needed to.

Running while in vacation can always be a challenge. Whether it’s just finding the right time without disrupting the family, or finding a safe place to run, there are a range of things that can cause a challenge. We’re going to be on a lot of camping trips this summer so it’s going to be interesting to see how the training goes.

A Little Sprinkle To Liven Up The Run

I wasn’t sure what I was going to end up running in this morning when the forecast called for rain. It really only ended up being a tiny bit of drops here and there, but I was prepared either way. It’s interesting what you get used to after awhile of running. There was a time that rain meant a treadmill run. These days, unless there is life threatening weather you couldn’t keep me inside. Responding to the Needs of Others Around You I have, at times, been cognizant of the needs of those I’ve been in connection with. Most often the help has come by way of financial assistance. There have been other times that non-financial needs have arose and I’ve responded, but those times seem to have been in the minority. Being Intentional About Seeing, And Meeting, The Needs of Those Around Us We are called to not only help our brothers and sisters in Christ, but to help all those in need around us. I’m reminded of the book the 10 Second Rule. There are so many needs all around us. How often do we simply turn a blind eye all because of our own selfish desires?…

    Day Of Visits And Experiences

We started our day at the World Hope International offices with introductions of some of the key staff that are involved with putting in wells. We also got briefed on some things to expect for the day and coming week. After our time meeting with the staff we got a tour of the drilling equipment and storage by Eugene. Eugene is from Nigeria and was brought to World Hope in Sierra Leone to lead the drilling teams. The tour included a lot of details on what the different equipment is used for in the process of drilling wells. There was so much I never realized went into drilling a well. After the tour we headed out to a village to dedicate a well that Hope…
