Losing the Motivation to Run #WhyIRan

It’s rather frustrating how far I’ve fallen in my running from where I was just a couple of years ago. I’m pretty sure a large portion of it is because I’ve lost a lot of what kept me motivated. I don’t think it was ever really about just the running. It was about the and the . Without those two things happening for me right now there is just not a lot of motivation to keep pushing myself.

This year I need to find my way back to community and purpose for running. I’m not quite sure what that is going to look like but I know that is a huge think that took a toll because of and now I need to get past that.

    Running And Giving Thanks

Back at it after my camping vacation. I commend those that are able to stick with the training while on vacation. My love right now isn’t really conducive to running while on vacation much. It was nice to back out running having some worship and prayer time. I spent some time giving God thanks for walking with me as I worked to get healthy, which allows me to run for clean water. #HWI #GRMarathon #Run4Water #WhyIRun I also spent some time giving Him thanks for the amazing wife He has blessed me with. In many ways my wife is the better half in our family. I’ve been blessed to have someone that can counter my failings when it comes to being a parent but also…

Not Quite A 5K, But A PR Nonetheless

After an 11 mile Tuesday run today seemed like it was barely worth getting out of bed for, but it is a necessary part of the training plan in order for it to be adjusted for how I’m actually doing. No worries about the lack of distance today as I believe I’m set to do a half marathon training run on Saturday. I was sort of hoping I might hit the 5K mark this morning but I was bit shy of that. I still managed some sort of PR. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #RiverBankRun #Endomondo

    Returning to Vitamin D3

After having had a few colds this past winter, and their negative effects on my running, I’ve decided to start taking vitamin D3 again. Having a cold while running was making it hard to breath and caused me to have a higher heartrate which was not great. I need to keep working on a the health journey I’ve been on and based on a lot of information I’ve listened to in the past most people in the U.S. are vitamin D3 deficient so it’s a good thing to do. I should be clear that vitamin D3 alone is not a cure or surefire prevention for getting a cold. However, it is attributed to a better performing immune system. Anything that will help my breathing, and…

Getting In A Quick Tuesday Training Run

A well in a village in Africa is an important part of the community, and something to be guarded for sure. You will usually see a fence around the well in order to keep animals and thieves away. There is a national standard for the well pump, which also makes it a target for theft. Clean water is as valuable as gold in some places in the world. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon Give to Life, Donate Now: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr
