Quick Note…

Well, today I got one more project off the list, YES! I kind of waivered between my final project and the Faith Shaping project today. It was so hard to resist not working on the Faith Shaping stuff. You can check out the progress of the project at https://www.faithshaping.org/. I did repost my test recording on that site. Once I get going and actually have my first real episode recorded I will be submitting to iTunes, so you’ll be able to find it in their directory as well. I’m definitely open to suggestions on this project so feel free to pop on over there and comment, or here too.

Well, it’s late so I’m calling it a night. Wanted to a least get a quick post up.

    When God Straightens Us Out, We Find Joy

    Well, I finaly made it up early today, and I had my time with God. What an incredible difference that makes. I feel like I got a lot accomplished today at work. I still have a pretty busy work day tomorrow but God has shown me the light. Tonight I was able to get yet another project completed. It looks like by next weeks end I should finally have my head above the water. I’m so thankful for the prayers and support I’ve gotten from people.     Life Without Internet…Thursday

    Thursday was an ok day at work. I really didn’t feel like I was able to keep on task as well as I would have liked. I was able to make some progress on the CLB site, integrating the forums into the homepage. I also got to talking with Todd about the whole blogging thing. He had setup himself with a Blogger.com blog. I offered to host a WordPress blog for him, then we got on the sunject of creating a CLB Blog site. Not sure how much of a demand there might be for this. I think it might be cool if Synod Staff & Pastors had blogs through the CLB. I didn’t get out of work till like 6. I decided to take…

    Seeing God…

    (John 14:1-14) When Christ was here on Earth in and among the Disciples, man was able to see God first hand. Even then the Disciples didn’t quite get it, not really realizing that they had God among them. Today it might seem that we don’t have the benefit of seeing God as the Disciples did, however the Holy Spirit does live among us. I’m reminded of the sermon that Christ gave about the “sheep” and the “goats” as they came to heaven and Christ seperated them based on how they served and loved others.     Switchfoot Fights DRM!

    In a story the came out earlier this week. One of the band members of Switchfoot was expressing his anger about the DRM the was put on their latest album. The DRM encoded albums were preventing people from ripping the CDs for use on portable medai players. He was posting instructions on how to circumvent the DRM. Well Sony & EMI have announced that they are recalling the CDs and replacing them. EMI says that it was a mistake. Let’s give it up for Switchfoot!

  • Busy Times, Time is Short

    So these days have been busier than ever. It’s been LB Convention time this week, and I’ve been putting in some full days for that. Tomorrow after work I head down to the Twin Cities for the night, and in the morninig begin my trip out to Michigan. Every day, and every week, I see my time hear coming closer to an end. I’m constantly torn between feelings of excitement for what God has to come, and sadness when thinking of all the people that I’ll be leaving behind. I don’t know what God has in store for me.
