Looking For Answers, Relying On Faith

Isaiah 55:8‭-‬9 NLT

We live in a world where people are always looking for answers. Sometimes the answers are beyond our understanding. That’s where faith takes over.

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord . “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.” – Isaiah 55:8‭-‬9 NLT

  • I’m Sick…And Tired…

Each day passes by and I wonder what ever happened to the daily need to publish my thoughts. Well it is still there, however I find my time somehow filled with other things. The time passes and my eyes grow heavy with the thought of sleep. Perhaps I have more of a life now, perhap I have come to a point of not so depressing thoughts. I guess one factor that has changed in my life is the on-going communication I have with others. I actually have real people to care on discussion with. Perhaps that is satisfying my need to communicate with the world at large via my blog. That is probably true in part. I still find it easy to tap away my…

    Not To Be Concerned…

I want to thank those of you that expressed concern for me because of my protected post. It’s so amazing to know that there are so many people that care about how I’m doing. I want to assure you all that things are simply amazing right now. I know that most of you don’t really know Vanessa, but I hope that you will get to meet her some day, but for me she is the most amazing woman I know. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think of her and feel so completely blessed by God for how He brought us together. She has an amazing way of always making my days brighter. To see her smile always brings me joy….

    Putting Wood On The Fire

Put more wood into the fire by accompanying your partner to his/her favourite place. – Day 1, Refresh Your Marriage In 31 Days I can definitely see that the busyness of life makes it more challenging to keep the “wood fires burning” of marriage. Marriage takes work and especially intentional action to keep plain selfishness at bay. If we would keep our focus on serving in our marriage then love would be more readily felt. I need to plan to be intentional about this each day.
  • Our Purpose…to Glorify God…So Are We?

While I read my devotions this morning I was faced with the question “Am I Glorifying God with my life?”. What does that look like? I want nothing more than to be in God’s will everyday of my life. How is this playing out in my work life, or in my relationship with Vanessa? What I hope for today is to begin a process of evaluating each day in light of God’s purpose for my life. My life is best kept in His hands and not my own.

Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will Be Done…

“…on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread…” As I read these words and the pages that went with them, in “The Passionate Life”, it was pretty obvious God was speaking to me concerning my evening. While I’m so thankful for all that God continues to teach me, I feel a small sense that perhaps He has other plans for me then the opportunity to share this life with someone else. I will be honest in that my heart feels a little torn. Not so much because of anyone else, only because it seems that the verse I have claimed and have placed at the top of my blog is truely being lived out in my life. This is…

    Being Social…Fun Stuff!

So, not a lot to report on today. I’m feeling a need a little bit more time in the morning to get going. If I would get myself to bed at a decent time it would help, hopefully I’ll accomplish that tonight. Got into work and started working on website stuff. I pretty much worked on website stuff all day. I had a meeting with Church Services and we’re getting realy close with the new bookstore website. I’m hoping perhaps by Christmas, maybe even the end of this month, we’ll see. So I did a little more IMing (is that even a word, probably will be) with, well, Sarah. It was all good, except for the part of it keeping me from my work. She…
