Unusual Running For A Wednesday
I waivered on whether to go out and run or break out the treadmill this morning. For me I figure if I’ve ran part of a marathon in a cold downpouring rain I can handle a 50 degree sprinkle for a free miles. In general I will always opt for the outdoors versus the treadmill. I found a new worship running album on Google Play Music this morning which I really enjoyed, and felt God had wanted me to hear that specific selection of songs this morning. I spent a chunk of time praying for the guys in my accountability group. Seems like more than ever lately all of us have felt attacked or at a low point. I’m thankful to have a group of…
Nailing The Saturday Long Run
This morning I really just ran to the worship music and went at the pace that felt comfortable. I’m pretty blown away to see how much I improved my pace in just a couple of weeks, where I finished with a 9:50 min/mi pace. I think the most enjoyable part of my run this morning was just being pleasantly surprised by the next worship song. When I run in the morning it has 2 main purposes for me, the first is to have a conversation starter to make people aware of the huge need for wells in Africa, and…
How Do My Kids See Me Living?
Your sons learn more from you by observation than by lecture. I’m constantly challenged by how I’m training and teaching my kids. Overcoming The Tough Interval Training Runs
After a couple of weeks of tough interval runs I finally nailed one pretty well. I think my take away is that when it comes to training, as with much in life, you are going to have hard days that you can barely get through. Those are the days you have to have in order to have growth and future success. So we need to celebrate the hard days just as well as good days. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRGus Donate to Water, to Life – https://timn.me/2t9D4ne
