I know that too often, I jump to conclusions and assumptions instead of giving people, especially my wife, the benefit of the doubt. This an area that has produced far more conflict then it could have had I just executed a little grace and mercy first.

We have a God that shows us far more grace, love, and mercy than we deserve. So it really goes without question that we need to attempt to do b the same in our relationships, especially with our spouse.

    Psalm 139:1-6, Omniscience, all-knowing, this one attribute of God the I know that I acknowledge but haven’t given it much thought in how it affects my day-to-day actions.     John Confirms Jesus

    (John 1:29-34) So, John didn’t know Jesus really, other than what God had revealed to him. However, the key things that God revealed to him was how he would recognize who Jesus was. We see here that Jesus came to John to be baptized. Even though, as far as John was concerned, he wasn’t worthy to baptize Jesus that is what Jesus required of him. He did this and then John saw first hand the Holy Spirit come down onto Jesus, and this was exactly what God had told John would happen. At that point John had no doubt at all that this was Jesus. He told everyone what he had been told and experienced.

    Youth Group Kickoff…

    Well, today work was pretty normal. Nothing too special. We had the youth group kickoff and things seemed to go pretty well. I got over to the church about 5:15 or so to get the sound system & projection equipment all setup. I worked on fine tuning OpenSong a little during break at work and then finished up with adding some announcements Andrew had. Maralee was willing to run presentation. My only problem with OpenSong thus far is that it has slow transitions. I still think it’s a pretty good tool for free on the Mac. We had a good intro meeting as small group leaders. We’ve got a great group of leaders this year, we always do, it’ll be fun working with them. The…

  • Not Been Forgotten…But Changes Coming

    Writing a quick note that although my last post was 6 months ago I think it’s about time to make some changes. I’m not sure exactly the plan. I may just start working on bring this site up to speed and use it as my hub for both Twitter and Facebook. Some other possibilities might be to roll it into a new Family site or move it into a portfolio of work site. I’m not sure, but 1 thing is for sure that with all of the domain names and “sites” that I control I need to pay some attention to them once again…or at the very least set them up to be a launching point to my activities in the Social Media space.     What God Brings…

    It has been a few days since my last update. I think I should now be able to have more regular updates as I finally have internet access at my place, and my wireless is up and running. It’s not that I couldn’t post from Vanessa’s, that’s where the last one was posted from, I’ve just had a lot of other things to do during the day, and my best posting time is usually at night. If I’m at Vanessa’s in the evening we are usually spending time together, well I guess we’ve been spending just about all our evenings together.
