Enjoying The Brisk Spring Mornings
It’s been nice to shed some layers as the weather has begun to warm up. I almost feel lighter on my feet just by dropping a layer or two. Besides the great weather it was another excellent time spent listening to the worship workout music and having some one-on-one time with the Lord. # HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #RiverBankRun
Family Day At The Air Zoo
We had a fun day as a family at the Air Zoo. We’d never been there but this month there was a reciprocity deal with the Grand Rapids Public Museum. I love the reciprocity deals you get with memberships. Nice to try some new things. #FamilyOuting #GRPM #AirZoo
Beginning The Mileage Increase
The training schedule this week is starting to increase my weekly miles, so my mornings are going to begin getting earlier. Early mornings are actually hard for me but it’s the only way I can really make the time to run. Why would I choose to get up in the wee hours of the morning to run? Some may even relocate to a village because there is a new water source that is readily available. So the reality of it is that the more wells there are for people the less strain there will be on a village, in more ways…
Prequel To The Groundhog Day Marathon?
It was a tough run this morning the snow covered sidewalks and pathways really took their tole the further I got into my run. On top of that my CamelBak nozzle froze up and couldn’t get any water for a good portion of the second half of my run. What was supposed to be a 17 mile run ended up being only a 15 mile run. I had my mask on to help cover my face from the wind, which I’m so thankful I had decided to that otherwise my face probably would have been frozen. There is no telling what the weather is going to be like come February 2nd, for the Groundhog Day Marathon. After today’s experience I’m a little more concerned about…
