    So now my special someone is all the buzz with those that know me. Everyone wants to hear more about how things went, and what the scoop is. I even got asked did you get engaged.     We Need To Persevere In All Areas Of Our Lives

    So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. – Hebrews 10:35‭-‬36 NLT There is a lot of perseverance that I need these days. Between work, our new house moving, serving at Daybreak, and training for the Fifth Third River Bank Run I’m being pulled and challenged and it’s easy to feel like giving up on any one of those. Thankful for God’s encouragement and truth today.

    Ok, so what a day. I wish I had the time to write all that I wanted, but off to bed I go, already late. Quick recap, woke up with a terrible cold (blah), great day at work, wonderful time at praise team practice (this is going to be a great group of youth to work with, we might even get good enough to lead on a Sunday), and well no new news from Apple. Busy day tomorrow with youth group, should be a good one! Chow All!

    Dear Family and Friends, You may have already heard, but I wanted to let you know that Kjirsti and I have a new son! Owan Ryan Nilsen was born on January 28, 2006, at 12:47am, and weighed 6 lbs., 12 oz., 20 inches. He is a good size, but came five weeks early Kjirsti went into labor around 10:00pm on Friday, January 27, and gave birth to Owan at 12:47am on Saturday, January 28. He appeared on the scene really fast! The delivery went fine, and the doctor and nurses took care of Owan and watched his vital signs to make sure he was adjusting to his new environment.     Seeing, And Meeting, The Needs of Others

    Responding to the Needs of Others Around You I have, at times, been cognizant of the needs of those I’ve been in connection with. Most often the help has come by way of financial assistance. There have been other times that non-financial needs have arose and I’ve responded, but those times seem to have been in the minority. Being Intentional About Seeing, And Meeting, The Needs of Those Around Us We are called to not only help our brothers and sisters in Christ, but to help all those in need around us. I’m reminded of the book the 10 Second Rule. There are so many needs all around us. How often do we simply turn a blind eye all because of our own selfish desires?…
