Quick Note…

Well, today I got one more project off the list, YES! I kind of waivered between my final project and the Faith Shaping project today. It was so hard to resist not working on the Faith Shaping stuff. You can check out the progress of the project at https://www.faithshaping.org/. I did repost my test recording on that site. Once I get going and actually have my first real episode recorded I will be submitting to iTunes, so you’ll be able to find it in their directory as well. I’m definitely open to suggestions on this project so feel free to pop on over there and comment, or here too.

Well, it’s late so I’m calling it a night. Wanted to a least get a quick post up.

    (John 1:15-28) – One thing that can be confusing wen you are reading through the Scriptures is the fact that the same names are used in more than one context. Here we’re reading the book of John and right at the begin he begins talking about John.     What’s Up With Me Today…

    Of course, anyone that read my blog earlier, or will read my earlier post, will know that my day started out kind of crappy. Let’s just say that my mind and emotions got the better of me. Thanks to God for great friends and encouragers. I’m not sure if perhaps Caristy read my blog and told John to invite me out with the seminary students for lunch but it made a huge difference in my day. I won’t doubt that this was just God at work. I also got some very encouraging words from Cassie, thanks. I kind of shared breifly tonight with Andrew about the issue I have, and what caused all my problems this morning.     Student Ministries

    Going to make a quick post tonight. This is my second round of seeing my time come to an end working with a group of student guys. Crazy enough the last group of guys I had are just graduating college this year. For me, no matter what it seems so hard to not havve regrets. Wishing I had more deep conversations, spent more time hanging out, took more opportunities to serve together, and I’m sure the list could go on. What I trust and hope in was that God was able to use me exactly as He had intended. I may never know if I really had an impact in these guys’ lives, and may even doubt when I catch glimspes of their lives down…

  • Days of Dancing

    I happy to say that the dancing seems to be going really well. We had our first class last night and we even got a little practice in tonight. Actually, funny enough Vanessa gave me a call tonight right as I was trying to work out some of the dance moves myself. She came over to my place to join me in some practicing. We had so much fun just working on the steps and laughing with each other. I really can’t help but smile as I look into Vanessa eyes as I lead her while we dance. It goes without saying that when we are pursuing God our “needs” change. Many of what we think we need are merely wants, and God sometimes blesses us with those things as well.
