Quick Note…

Well, today I got one more project off the list, YES! I kind of waivered between my final project and the Faith Shaping project today. It was so hard to resist not working on the Faith Shaping stuff. You can check out the progress of the project at https://www.faithshaping.org/. I did repost my test recording on that site. Once I get going and actually have my first real episode recorded I will be submitting to iTunes, so you’ll be able to find it in their directory as well. I’m definitely open to suggestions on this project so feel free to pop on over there and comment, or here too.

Well, it’s late so I’m calling it a night. Wanted to a least get a quick post up.

    I just can’t seem to understand why I’m so bad with keeping good relationships. Is it so hard to just pickup the phone? I can only figure that I’ve been so used to have so much time on my own that when I’m not with Vanessa I just feel like doing my own thing.     Just Another Quick One

    So it won’t be long, of course it’s getting late again. Well I think I can count like 5 books I’m now in the process of reading…probably going to add another couple more before the month even starts I think. I’m sort of overwhelmed, but at the same time I’m kind of happy to actually be doing some reading. When I was a lot younger I used to read a lot. I remember buying books from the book clubs all the time. In those days I read some fantasy books, but I read a lot of mystery type books.     In The Beginning

    (John 1:1-14) – John starts out describing a little about what the beginning was like. The Word was another name given to Jesus. It’s interesting that John starts out this way. It is very clear that the importance is placed on this description to setup the rest of the book. Jesus claimed he was God, was equal with God. The very fact that he also had the name of the Word and that these verses explain exactly was Jesus claimed is not insignificant. Jesus Christ always was and is equal to God the Father & God the Holy Spirit. John 1:12, this is a very popular verse. Thomas I was challenged today in how I approach being a Dad. Too often I choose to focus on everything but my kids. Our time is too short with our kids, and there will be years ahead when we will have all kinds of time to pursue other things. I will say that this is one of the reasons I wake up at 4am some days to get a run in as I make an effort to not let my running negatively impact my family. #parenting #sacrifice #responsibility

    What A Sermon…

    Well, I did manage to make it to the fellowship time before church. I have to say I was a little disapointed to find no Sunday School class that was directed for my age. I was kind of feeling like an island again. Not that it really matters that most of the guys at church that are my age are married, but I really feel like the odd person. I wanted to sit with someone my age that I knew, which ended up being all girls. That’s fine I guess but as I looked around I didn’t see any sinlge guys my age in the entire room. I feel like such a loser.
