When you have a good training run you can celebrate by looking back on those tough days that got you there. Sticking To The Plan, An Ready Training Run
This morning I was able to keep the pace on the slower side. It helped to keep my mind on the worship music and lifting family and the people of a Sierra Leone up in prayer. When you see family struggle and there is not much you can do to help you realize quickly that God is wanting you to bring those needs to him to take care of. For the people of Sierra Leone, I don’t recall if their dry season has started yet, but regardless my prayers are for wells to continue to be drilled to provide more people easy access to clean water to help their children stay health and in school, and to improve life for their entire communities. Prequel To The Groundhog Day Marathon?
It was a tough run this morning the snow covered sidewalks and pathways really took their tole the further I got into my run. On top of that my CamelBak nozzle froze up and couldn’t get any water for a good portion of the second half of my run. What was supposed to be a 17 mile run ended up being only a 15 mile run. I had my mask on to help cover my face from the wind, which I’m so thankful I had decided to that otherwise my face probably would have been frozen. Another “Easy” Run With The New App And Training Plan
I’m starting to feel like I’m getting back into the groove of running again. The biggest thing for me is that I need to have a plan for running. Early mornings are really the best time for me to get a run in. In order for me to be motivated to get up early, and not stay in bed, I need to have a goal and a plan. I’m not sure if I’ll ever truly be at a place to simply run for the sake of running, and that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy my running.
