Pleasant Day…And Winter is Here
Well, all-in-all it was a pretty good day. I actually managed to get up by 5:30 and get going. So yeah I didn’t get much sleep last night, but it was worth it. I got most of my small website projects done. I wish I would have had the whole day to work on stuff. My department spent the afternoon going a bit deeper in the DISC profile. Wanting to discover how we can better work together. It was good to go deeper into what makes up each of us. We were reminded again that the profile is not something to use as an excuse for our actions. Each personality type has it’s strengths and weeknesses. Teach Me Patience…
These past few days have been pretty amazing. Let’s just say for starters, that God has really been teaching me a lot these days. This is something I very much need to think about and reflect on daily. Kind of all goes back to the learning circle. How important it is to reflect, plan, and act on the teaching that God does in our lives. It can be so easy to learn and move on without it having a truely lasting impact on our lives. Life Without Internet…Wednesday
So back to Wednesday…it was a bit of a crazy day, as most Wednesdays are. I basically headed straight to church after work. I had Sunday Morning Worship Team practice before youth group. I started early with just Brad. It can be a real challenge for me as I’m not used to playing in more of a backup role on the guitar. I feel pretty clueless as to how to play. What didn’t help matters either was that a lot of the songs I either didn’t know or have never played on the guitar. Expectations, Communication…When Life Gets Too Busy
Well I got a rather unfortunate email today. I’ve basically been let go for the website project I was working on. The truth of the matter is there were things that myself and the company that hired me didn’t do very well. I kind of feel a little frustrated as I thought I made myself very clear how busy my schedule was before they agreed to hire me. Apparently I didn’t do a good enough job. It would also seem as though they really didn’t read the contract before they agreed to it. It clearly states what I was expecting. I guess I’m fine with not having to worry about it any more however, I just feel as though they could have done a better… What Has Today Brought?
I’d haveto say that all-in-all it was a decent day. I would have preferred to get a bit farther along in my data-entry, I spent a good portion of the day generating mailing lists. I would have to say that about the best parts of today were getting up early and having some good devotion time and breakfast before I headed off to work. I think both of those things have proven to make my mornings more productive. This evening wasn’t too bad. I didn’t get quite as much accomplished tonight as I had hoped but I did manage to have a rather tasty steak and potato supper, I also began creating an actual budget I hope to be sticking by.
