Trying to Keep Up…
OK, well I’m going to try to stay on top of at least something of a daily post. I think what is more realistic is a few weekly posts. I’d rather not even go into how my day went. It was one of those frustrating days when at every turn you wonder if it could get any worse, then it does. Once I got on the road and off to Fargo for the evening things started looking up. Youth Group Kickoff…
Well, today work was pretty normal. Nothing too special. We had the youth group kickoff and things seemed to go pretty well. I got over to the church about 5:15 or so to get the sound system & projection equipment all setup. I worked on fine tuning OpenSong a little during break at work and then finished up with adding some announcements Andrew had. Maralee was willing to run presentation. My only problem with OpenSong thus far is that it has slow transitions. I still think it’s a pretty good tool for free on the Mac. We had a good intro meeting as small group leaders. Of course, anyone that read my blog earlier, or will read my earlier post, will know that my day started out kind of crappy. Let’s just say that my mind and emotions got the better of me. Thanks to God for great friends and encouragers. I’m not sure if perhaps Caristy read my blog and told John to invite me out with the seminary students for lunch but it made a huge difference in my day. I won’t doubt that this was just God at work. So now my special someone is all the buzz with those that know me. Everyone wants to hear more about how things went, and what the scoop is. I even got asked did you get engaged. The answer to that is no. That is something that is in God’s hands and His timing. Whether He chooses to lead us to that or not I will consider myself blessed to have Vanessa in my life. Already Missing My Wife
Glad I got the lawn mowed this afternoon before the rain rolled in. Going to try and keep on top of everything while Vanessa is gone to Africa this week. As we were praying before supper tonight reality hit me that she is gone. I’ll be honest, I almost lost it as we were praying for her and the trip. I know that this was God’s plan, and He’s in control of it all. I have no doubt of His protection over, and plan for, the team.What Have I Gotten Myself Into…?
OK, let’s recap the day first. Got up at 5:30 this morning. Had some good time before work. I still really feel getting up at 5:00 would be better, I just can’t get to bed very early, grrr. Work was good today. I feel like I’m finally getting caught up with stuff. Yes! That’ll probably jinks it, LOL. I’m finding that I’m going to have to do some research to find a better system for the free church websites we’re providing. I might have to do something custom, so long as it’s easy to use.
