Our organization is so close to reaching our goal and being able to bring clean water to 21,250 people in Africa. I’m still $780 away from hitting my goal before the Grand Rapids Marathon on October 15th. I hope there are those that would be willing to partner with me to bring clean water to those that need it.

I really enjoy being able to just turn on the workout worship music and just run while having one-on-one time, just me and God. This morning the Rusch family was on my mind and is in my prayers. I spent 10 years working at a Christian camp and was blessed to work with some many amazing people serving and ministering to others. I am totally blown away when I hear of the trials many of them end up going through. I do still trust in God’s truth that “in this world you will have trouble, but take heart, I have overcome the world.” I can’t even imagine what it is going to be like for the Rusch family but I know that God will be…

On the bright side it encouraged me to slow down. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #RiverBankRun

I started off way better than the start of a typical morning run, but given I’ve had a whole day to get my body moving that sort of makes sense. It was still pretty warm and humid, though I really appreciated the occasional breeze. I can’t wait until the temps cool down more. It did get me thinking about what those in Africa have to deal with, just walking, to go for miles just to get a container of water. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun Donate to Water – https://timn.me/2t9D4ne I did spend a lot of time thinking about my former camp co-worker Jon and his family….
