Hard Working Weekend, Deck Progress Was Made
Besides an awesome 5K training group run with the HWI Team Daybreak on Saturday it was pretty much a deck building weekend. I spent most of the day Saturday completing the deck support base. And on Sunday I was able to get cracking on screwing down the deck board. I completed half the deck. I put the patio furniture on the finished area just to feel a little bit more sense of accomplishment. I was really hoping to get it all finished this weekend but I’ll be plugging away at the second half this week. Hopefully i’ll have it completed by or during next weekend.Nearing The End Of The Marathon Training, Only One More To Go
2nd to the last marathon training run today. Since I took a break yesterday in order to get some extra rest I decided to stick with the #Endomondo plan which called for some speed work, well sort of. ? I spent the slower end of the run lifting many of my family up in prayer, in addition to those in Africa that are still waiting for access to clean water. Our world is full of both physical and spiritual needs. While I have been involved with Hope Water International, I have seen first hand the lives that are changed. Obviously, being able to travel to Sierra Leone Africa I saw what kind of life change can occur for people there. However, the other place that lives are changed are right here within the #HWI Team. The support of each other in the HWI community has helped people accomplish more than they had ever thought. That is another reason #WhyIRun with the HWI Team. So I had a great time at WordCamp Grand Rapids this past weekend. As a result I’m deeply considering dusting of my websites, and blog, and attempting to be more active. Life is crazy busy but I know that writing down my thoughts had always been good for me in the past. Consider this post a trial run.
