Xanga Cross-Posting…

Ok, so I decided to see how I can keep the camp staffers aware that I’ve got new posts on my blog. Found a plugin that allows me to cross-post with my Xanga account. So now people can see what’s new either place. This should be pretty slick. I’ll be posting more later today.

    Wasteful Weekends, Geeks…Gotta Love Em

    So yeah, I pretty much wasted the weekend away again. Not totally, but I could have done a lot more than I did. I guess I sort of get tired of doing stuff, like work, all the time and want some time to just kick back and relax. I’m feeling like I’m kind of spinning my wheels with the web job. I really like to nail down the site design before I do the custom programming stuff. The problem is they’ve given me hardly anything to work with. Well Monday will have to be a big day to work on getting stuff going. I guess I’m going to worry less about the design and make sure the funcitonality is all there. So yeah, not much…

    God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. – 1 Peter 4:10 NLT  Sometimes I think we lose sight of how God intended for us to use our gifts. If we are using our gifts to serve others, not just the church or ministries, we are doing exactly what God has called us to do. Christ came as a servant, as an example to us how we should serve others.

    Taking A Moment To Update…

    Well, fine folks who have been patiently, or impatiently, been waiting for my next real post. I’m taking this time I have during lunch to give a little recap of what’s been going on in my life. I’ve been working to reduce the stress in my life and not take on anymore work. The only problem with this, it gives me time to fill. What have I decided to do with this free time, start a podcast.     Dear Family and Friends, You may have already heard, but I wanted to let you know that Kjirsti and I have a new son! Owan Ryan Nilsen was born on January 28, 2006, at 12:47am, and weighed 6 lbs., 12 oz., 20 inches. He is a good size, but came five weeks early Kjirsti went into labor around 10:00pm on Friday, January 27, and gave birth to Owan at 12:47am on Saturday, January 28. He appeared on the scene really fast! The delivery went fine, and the doctor and nurses took care of Owan and watched his vital signs to make sure he was adjusting to his new environment.
