Decided to “follow” the #Endomondo training plan today to get a longer interval run in. So far I’ve been doing some mix of the #HWI training plan and the Endomondo one. We’ll see how well that works out for me. It was a very cool morning for a run, I was pretty surprised when I stepped out the door. It made for great weather for a run. While I listened to a #worship running mix I focused on praying for my wife and kids. Life has been challenging recently with the kids. I’m glad they are back in school but that is presenting it’s own challenges as well. #GRMarathon #Run4Water

Community is God’s answer to defeat. You need to find the people who will stand with you in tough times and say, “We’re not going to let you get discouraged. We’re not going to let you get depressed. We’re not going to let you worry. We’re going to stay here with you.” Day 2 of the @YouVersion plan ‘Better Together’ (http://bible.com/r/Qc) A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken. Ecclesiastes 4:12 NLT (https://bible.com/bible/116/ecc.4.12.NLT)
This morning felt like a pretty big challenge. It being my 3rd 5K this week I just felt off from the start. After looking at my distance climbed I think I understand why today felt like so much of a struggle, I had about 90 feet of incline then my last 2 5Ks. Looks like the machine decided to take things up a notch today. I’m not unhappy with my pace. It just feels like I took a step back from the start of the week. I think my body is still recovering from lack of sleep since I was up way late the night before last. I hope it’ll work to make it to a HWP group run soon. I didn’t get my Saturday long run in, staying up late too many days in a row made that a challenge. Today is a new week, an opportunity to start again. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #RiverBankRun #Getaway
At a hotel this morning to #treadmill it is. I hate doing these 6.2 mile runs on the treadmill. Not to mention I feel way less in control. The very fact that this morning my phone fell and went flying. As I tried to catch it I fell and had to pull the emergency stop. I got back up and did my run but not without injury.
I count myself blessed that with everything going on in the world I am still able to get out and put some miles in early on a Tuesday morning. I pray for those fighting against the virus that is spreading throughout our world and for those that are still in need of clean water. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun Support new wells in Africa: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr
I really enjoy being able to just turn on the workout worship music and just run while having one-on-one time, just me and God. This morning the Rusch family was on my mind and is in my prayers. I spent 10 years working at a Christian camp and was blessed to work with some many amazing people serving and ministering to others. I am totally blown away when I hear of the trials many of them end up going through. I do still trust in God’s truth that “in this world you will have trouble, but take heart, I have overcome the world.” I can’t even imagine what it is going to be like for the Rusch family but I know that God will be…
