Final Training Week Before The Groundhog Marathon
It was kind of strange to not have ran since last Thursday, and I always fear any sort of break is going to set my training back. Once I hit the pavement I was moving just as if I hadn’t taken a break. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRGus Right now the people of Sierra Leone are in the middle of the dry season. This is a tough time for those that don’t have access to clean water. Bring hope to the people of Sierra Leone by giving to clean water. https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr
Getting Back on the Saddle After a Brief Break
After a couple week break, a new phone, new app, and a new training plan I’m back to my early morning runs. I’m hoping that I can get back into things. #HalfMarathon #Training

Completing My 2020 Virtual Grand Rapids Half Marathon
To be honest, this morning didn’t feel like marathon day. It pretty much felt like any other morning I get up while it’s still dark, and everyone else is asleep, to go for a run. #GRMarathon #Run4Water #HWI This year has been a challenging one for running, and races, that is for sure. Life wasn’t “business as usual” and I really couldn’t maintain a facade like it was. I did commit to running my 2020 Grand Rapids Half Marathon as a virtual run despite the offer to defer to next year. This morning…
One Mile, One Runner, One Well At A Time
Join Me in Supplying Clean Water to Africa: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon As the #HWI Team begins putting in even longer runs, working the way to half & full marathon distances, we have have an opportunity to bring awareness to the need for access to clean water in Africa. Even though for many of us this is another year of raising money, the need for more wells has not diminished. Can you imagine the life change if we could accomplish sustainable wells across all of Africa? The team won’t be stopping putting those miles in anytime soon.
An 8 Mile Tuesday For Clean Water
In a time when many of us are stuck in our homes I’m glad to still be able to get out and run. I could definitely tell things were quieter than normal when I was finishing up my run. I am glad to know that, so far, no cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Sierra Leone. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun
