Busy Times, Time is Short

So these days have been busier than ever. It’s been LB Convention time this week, and I’ve been putting in some full days for that. Tomorrow after work I head down to the Twin Cities for the night, and in the morninig begin my trip out to Michigan. Every day, and every week, I see my time hear coming closer to an end. I’m constantly torn between feelings of excitement for what God has to come, and sadness when thinking of all the people that I’ll be leaving behind. I don’t know what God has in store for me. What I do know is that if God says “go” then that is what I must do. There is of course more to this than simply me going out into the unknown. God has blessed me with a relationship, one that is with one of His most amazing daughters. I may not know what He has next for me, but I do know that I have someone name Vanessa that He has brought into my life to be there as He reveals His plan to me.

The theme this year at the convention has been “Follow Me”, and this has ministered to me in more ways than I can even express. In my heart that is exactly what I wish to do. My desire is to follow Christ wherever He leads me. He knows they way I must go, the timing I must do it in, and the steps I must take to get there. When we put our complete trust in Him, we can know that He is always there with us each step of the way. I am so thankful for a God that loves me so much to be willing to tend one who is just a sheep. Sheep can be pretty dumb animals, they can get lost easily, and get themselves into trouble. It takes a loving shepherd to help the sheep. We have a Great Shepherd that knows we are sheep, and yet still loves us, so much in fact that He gave His own life for us. I am so thankful for that.

Well, I have some laundry to tend to, and it is getting late. My days ahead are filled with mystery, but I know that all I need is Jesus to carry me forward.

    Catching Up…

Well I feel like I’ve been really disconnected over the past few days. It’s kind of crazy how your life can feel likes it’s fallen apart when you don’t have internet. Ok, so my life didn’t fall apart, but I was at a loss of what to do. I guess it got me going to bed a bit earlier. My biggest issue was not being able to blog. I’ve kind of become so accustomed to doing my blog when things prevent me from doing it I feel like I’ve become disconnected. Anyways, internet is back and life is good. I’m going to split this post up for each day. I actually got going on a pretty long post and figured I break it up little,…

    God’s Amazing Work

So I know that I haven’t been so good about keeping up my blog posts on a regular basis. It’s kind of amazing how even when life seems to settle down you don’t have time foe some of the simple things. I guess one issue I’ve been facing lately is not being able to get to sleep early, and getting up early. It just has kind of thrown things off a bit. I guess the other part of my lack of blogging is the fact that I’ve started the podcast as well. Even more is how much God has been doing in my life, which has kind of kept me from blogging. Like the fact that I have someone special that is apart of my…

    Priority Number 1

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. – Matthew 6:33 NLT Our world tries to offer us a lot of things that distract us from what we should be pursuing. It goes without saying that when we are pursuing God our “needs” change. Many of what we think we need are merely wants, and God sometimes blesses us with those things as well.

    My Long Weekend…

So it’s been a few days since my last post. When things get busy I find it hard to get them in. Things have been kind of crazy. I just noticed too that my last real blog post was Tuesday. Wednesdays always get busy and late, actually I ended up going over to John & Caristy’s after youth group again. It’s good for me to be apart of some social things, especially with people my own age. So let’s recap a little. Wednesday youth group was good. Joel & Liz Christensen gave a talk about their work in China. It was a little different than what they talked about on Sunday wo that was good. With the craziness of the week I didn’t do music,…

    Excellent Weekend…

Well, I didn’t get a post made last night. I just got a little tired to make the post. Also, there wasn’t much that went on Saturday. I got up around 9:30 and got around to getting my remaining leaves cleaned up and taken to the dump before the rain came. I made some bread in the bread machine for the first time. The crust got a little harder and thicker than I would have preferred but it was tasty. I mostly bummed around that day. I went over to John O’s that night and watched “The Magnificent Seven” with Rud Wasson & Shawn Osborne. It was a good old western. Today I got up for the early service at church. John Kilde gave the…
  • I Hate Internet Explorer…Down With Microsoft!

Ok, I just realized why someone told me they couldn’t find my blogroll. Internet Explorer doesn’t like my blog. So now I have more work to do on my blog to fix the IE bugs. Yeah, everyone thinks Microsoft products help you get more work done, blah, only if your loaded so you can buy all the MS crap. http://www.vanwensveen.nl/rants/microsoft/IhateMS.html http://members.tripod.com/~hatems/
