Sometimes, even when you’ve tried to resist it, you fall into old running habits. I’ll expand on that later if you keep reading. We can so easily take water for granted. #Run4Water #WhyIRun #HWI #KCC #GRHalfMarathon
Despite the thoughts of quitting early because it was just too bad out, or too slippery, I pushed through and got it done. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #RiverBankRun
What started out being a pretty easy going run turned out to be much faster than I had expected. I was checking my heart rate the whole time and only once did it rise just a hair past 150. My pace just ended up being what it was based on how I ended up doing with my heart rate. What’s encouraging to me is to see what appears to be my heart health getting better. I feel God has definitely blessed me through my running. Honestly, one of the big helpers with my runs is listening to a worship workout album. There are moments when I am so focused on the song that I forget about the running. I did take some time this morning…
The things I’m doing in my free time have changed dramatically. My life isn’t all running and software development these days. My new hobbies involve 3D printing and war/board gaming.
Old shoes had about run their course so I needed to get some new ones soon enough before the #GRMarathon to get them broke in. Trying a new model shoe. Striders was so helpful with helping me find my new shoe! #HWI #NewShoes
Another fine Thursday training run. Had a small amount of rain but it was nice to have it keep things cool. It was awesome to hear that my running partner exceeded his $1000 #HWI fundraising goal. I still have about $250 to go to hot the $1000 mark. I’m hoping to hit $2000 this year. #GRMarathon #Run4Water
