No PR today on my long tempo run but the but I also don’t feel like I over did it either so that helps me to know I could still push myself to a faster pace or keep up that pace for a longer time/distance. Unfortunately this morning was one of those where my mind got totally lost in the run itself. I have days like those and while I enjoy the running I also want to be taking that time listen to God and lift others up to Him. #HWI #HessLakeRun #GRMarathon #Run4Water Donate To Clean Water
After the slow start this week I wasn’t sure how an interval run would go. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #RiverBankRun
In these uncertain times there is one thing that is certain, there is still a need for clean water. Without clean water it becomes real hard to promote sanitation. I may not be running in a group but I’m still committed to running my own for clean water. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun Be a part of change, support clean water: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr
Wow, what a great 20 mile training run today. That may sound crazy but with the cool weather and the great company of Harvey, Jason, and John it made for a good time. I can definitely tell I ran 20 miles, a little over actually, but I feel very good. If I can tackle the coming 26.2 mile marathon in the next few weeks like today I should be able to finish in a much better state than last year. I still need some more partners for my #HWI fundraiser. To be honest, this morning didn’t feel like marathon day. It pretty much felt like any other morning I get up while it’s still dark, and everyone else is asleep, to go for a run. #GRMarathon #Run4Water #HWI This year has been a challenging one for running, and races, that is for sure. Most races were cancelled, postponed, or changed to virtual. My training has been all on my own, and when the pandemic hit I stopped sharing all of my runs on social media. Life wasn’t “business as usual” and I really couldn’t maintain a facade like it was. I did commit to running my 2020 Grand Rapids Half Marathon as a virtual run despite the offer to defer to next year. This morning…
