Pushing Through An Intense Speed Test Run

Back at it again this morning. It was an intense short training test run. I was hoping to see a but that may have to wait until Saturday when I do the 5K. I had just ran the night before so my body hadn’t really had a ton of recovery time. I’ll be looking forward to representing at the Hot Cider Hustle. It sounds like there will be a few of us out there. I always love having the opportunity to share to share about the mission when I where my Hope Water blue.

    Taking On The Wet And Windy Tuesday Run

    It was a kind of interesting morning, weather wise. There was some big thunder before 4am but when I got outside for my morning run there wasn’t much for rain, just some sprinkles and mist off-and-on. The wind came and went as well. The crazy thing once again is to see my pace improve of the course of my run. Instead of what one would normally see, where your pace might get slower over the course of a run, for me my pace got better the longer I ran. It was a good morning for a run all around. Only a few more weeks until the #RiverBank and I think I’m feeling good about my training so far. #HWI #WhyIRun #Run4Water

    10 Mile Hard Run, In More Ways Than One

    It was a real struggle to do 10 miles this morning after coming down with a cold and missing a training run. The first half was pretty good but the second half was a big push. I only got caught in a little bit of rain at the 7 mile mark so it was actually refreshing.     Unusual Running For A Wednesday

    I waivered on whether to go out and run or break out the treadmill this morning. For me I figure if I’ve ran part of a marathon in a cold downpouring rain I can handle a 50 degree sprinkle for a free miles. In general I will always opt for the outdoors versus the treadmill. I found a new worship running album on Google Play Music this morning which I really enjoyed, and felt God had wanted me to hear that specific selection of songs this morning. I spent a chunk of time praying for the guys in my accountability group. Seems like more than ever lately all of us have felt attacked or at a low point. I’m thankful to have a group of…
