    Feeling Like An Intense 5K Run

    As I hit the pavement this morning I felt like just kicking into high gear for the entire run. I’m not quite sure that it was an overall lifetime #PR for a #5K but I’m pretty sure I finished better than more recent 5K times. What’s crazy is that it wasn’t like I had gotten extra sleep last night or had taken some time off running. I know turning on the new Christian Workout/Running playlist helped. Maybe since I’m on the taper for the marathon, and the miles aren’t as high, I’m just feeling like I have more energy.     Getting My Butt Out Of Bed And Hitting The Pavement

    Another one of those mornings that took some extra effort to get it of bed and get out the door. I really had to fight with myself to not just go back to bed. Always feel even better when I finish a run knowing that I overcame the desire to just stay in bed. It becomes an easier decision when you think about giving up a little extra sleep for the cause of bringing people clean water. #HWI #HessLakeRun #GRMarathon #Run4Water

    Feeling Very Out of Shape on My Long Run

    After getting through about half of my run in this morning I could tell that the second half was going to be a struggle. Over the past year, even though I haven’t stopped running, my running wasn’t always as consistent and my diet has been all over the map. These two things of course have made a significant impact on my running. I don’t know to what degree all of the craziness that has gone on this past year has been a major instigator of my downfall, but I’m sure it has attributed to it. I need to do better.     It Shouldn’t Be All About The Run

    No PR today on my long tempo run but the but I also don’t feel like I over did it either so that helps me to know I could still push myself to a faster pace or keep up that pace for a longer time/distance. Unfortunately this morning was one of those where my mind got totally lost in the run itself.     Getting in A 10K+ Run

    Clean water has a huge effect on a village. When clean water is readily available it means students can go to school that would have otherwise had to spend their days collecting water.
