Enabling A Community With Clean Water

When clean water is brought to a community it’s not done suddenly and randomly then moving on to another random village. World Hope(#WHI) works with a carefully chosen village to establish ownership of the well by that village. The village agrees to manage and care for the well in order to serve their community for the long term. The are taught how to maintain and repair the well, and are tasked with protecting it as well. This model follows the saying, “Give a man a fish, feed him today. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime.”. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon Donate to Clean Water: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr

Hitting The 20 Mile Mark, And I Feel Fine

Wow, what a great 20 mile training run today. That may sound crazy but with the cool weather and the great company of Harvey, Jason, and John it made for a good time. I can definitely tell I ran 20 miles, a little over actually, but I feel very good. If I can tackle the coming 26.2 mile marathon in the next few weeks like today I should be able to finish in a much better state than last year. I still need some more partners for my #HWI fundraiser. Remember your contribution will be doubled with our our matching funds. #HWI #GRMarathon #WaterIsLife #Run4Water #WhyIRun Donate Now – https://timn.me/2t9D4ne

Donate Today: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun When the dry season hits it can be very hard on people, especially when their only source of water is a small stream, pond, or small hole dug in the ground. What is even worse is the many hand dug wells that just dry up because they don’t go down far enough. When Hope Water helps to put a well in you can be sure it’s a well that won’t dry up during the dry season. When I visited a village in e Sierra Leone, a Peace Corps worker there shared with our team that the well…
