Cabinet Remodel, Finishing The Doors

Today I needed to finish up cutting down the cabinet doors, the last part needed to make room for the microwave above the stove. I got the table saw out for the first time since selling our house almost 2 years ago. It’s been sitting in storage. I got them cut down by chopping the tops off. Then I used my father-in-law’s router to get the cabinet edge trimmed so they fit in the new reduced opening.

I’ll be honest the sanding, mudding, and painting things are my least favorite thing to do. Anytime I get to build something new, or fix something, that’s when I have the most fun with these remodeling projects. I’ll be finishing out the day with the not so fun stuff.

    Quick One Tonight…

    Ok, long story short I’m in a little hot water as I’m behind in the website job. Technically the contract they signed covers my butt, however it’s looking like I don’t have enough time for these types of side jobs.     Expectations, Communication…When Life Gets Too Busy

    Well I got a rather unfortunate email today. I’ve basically been let go for the website project I was working on. The truth of the matter is there were things that myself and the company that hired me didn’t do very well. I kind of feel a little frustrated as I thought I made myself very clear how busy my schedule was before they agreed to hire me. Apparently I didn’t do a good enough job. It would also seem as though they really didn’t read the contract before they agreed to it. It clearly states what I was expecting.     Dance, Dance, Dance…

    I know that I haven’t posted in awhile. And I know that my last post, that some may have seen, was a not ans exciting life update post. I haven’t forgotten about the blog world, life just sometimes gets away from you. My podcasting days come back to mind every now and then too. I really think that if I’m going to get back into the podcasting I need to come up with a solid plan for organizing each show. Vanessa and I have just completed the 4th week of our dance class.     Using WordPress As My Note Taking Tool

    So this past Sunday, in a continued effort to find my replacement note taking tool for Evernote, I decided to give my blog a try as a not taking tool. I have the Android app on my phone and tablet so that step made things fairly easy. For the most part things went very well, except I still don’t like the lack of Post Format editing support in the mobile app. I still had to switch over to the web to refine my final note the way I liked it to be.     Another Day, Another Dollar…

    Well another day gone. I didn’t feel like I got as much done today as I wanted, but that always seems to be the case. I didn’t even make it to any breaks today. Nothing too special went on today other than the normal Tuesday/Thursday work. Got an exciting email today. Moe Gifts had it’s first sale today! It was someone in Virginia. Don’t kow how they found the site. The site tracker I installed doesn’t seem to be giving very accurate results. My hope is that some of the link exchange work I did is how they got there.
