Prayer, Worry, and Thankfulness

Prayer is not always easy for me, especially when I’m compelled to do it all on my own. We live in a world that perpetuates​ that thinking. Good wants us not only to bring Him our needs but wants us to come to Him with be thanks when things are going well. It’s easy to forget to go to God in the good times but that’s like never hanging out with your friends but just going to them when you need something. Most of us don’t like to be in that kind of relationship very long. How do we think God feels about is h having that kind of relationship with Him?

    Quick…New Calendar

    Thx Google for all the neat tools they keep pumping out. I’m now using Google Calendar slightly integrated into my blog. Should work ok. I’m feeling the itch to get back into blogging and podcasting…we’ll see what the schedule brings. I’m also thinking it might be time for a WordPress upgrade and site redesign/makeover. I may even go so far as bridge the gap between my blog site on the Tim blog. Perhaps I’ll bring the designs of the two inline with each other and distribute the content logically between them as well. We’ll see what I feel like doing, let alone have time for.     Another Day With My Thoughts…

    Well, I think the unfortunate thing is that I’ve lost my amazing blog audience. I can really only blame myself of course. Let’s see, the very fact that I’ve barely had a weekly update, er, ok so it’s barely made it to be a bi-monthly update. Well, on to my continued thoughts. I think the crazy thing is I finally had to come to the reality that I need to let things go. It can be so easy for me to get worked up about something, and in the end it really isn’t very significant in the whole scope of things.     Where’s The Line…Freedom in Christ or Good Witness

    (1 Corinthians 14:13-25) In my devotion time today, Paul was again talking to the church in Corinth about matters of witness to unbelievers and escentially the freedom found in Christ. The problem for the early church, and I would say that this problem has not gone away, was that for the unbelievers (or even weak or new in faith) there were things that they didn’t understand which easily turned them off to Christianity. The hard part comes in that God has called us, as Christians, to be different than this world.
