One of the reasons for this is put together so nicely in my devotions this morning, showing our kids how important they are by giving them time. Most children in Sierra Leone don’t get to be “just kids” like kids can in America. Many children are the ones responsible for gathering the water that their entire family needs for the day. This results in either no education, or very little. Bringing more clean water to Africa means a better future for the children. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun Help Bring Clean Water to Africa: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr I almost got 9 miles in, which is almost 3 miles beyond the farthest distance I’ve run since finishing the #GRMarathon in October. Even though it is now considered the “off season” for the West Michigan #HWI team, the need for clean water hasn’t been completely met. Thanks to the work of the team this past year many thousands more will have access to clean water, but the harsh reality is that there are still thousands more that will still not have access to clean water. This is another reason why I feel compelled to keep running, even through the winter months, to continue to bring awareness to the huge need that is still before us.
