My life is in the machine…

Well, I’m dead tired and I’m sitting here with a dead machine. I’m feeling the curse of the dry winter air. I walked up to my laptop at work today and zap. I thought that I got by lucky as I was able to start it up and work on it awhile, can’t remember how long. When I got to my parents tonight I found that after about 15 minutes of use the machine locks up tight. I’m having serious doubts it’s just a software issue. It’s not the new 1GB stick of memory, as I’ve tried running with that pulled, so that’s good I guess. Now I’m stuck with what to do next. I’ve got so many things I need to use that thing for, I can’t just call it a loss. I’m either going to have to see about getting it repaired, if possible, or go in debt to buy a new one. Yeah, if I made like $50,000 a year I’d be just fine with buying a new machine. I’ve been really working to get rid of the debt I do have, grr. Well, we’ll see what tomorrow brings. I’m going to bed. Valete! 🙁

  • Update, Long Overdue…

    I’ve been married now for about 2.5 months. Married life has been what I hoped and more, some good and some challenging. We’ve gotten into more of a routine now, but not so much that life isn’t interesting. We’ve been trying to work on the house. A few weekends ago we put up gutters. That was an interesting job, with some challenges, but it’s all good. We’ll be doing some yard work in another few weeks. Once the grass grows back I think we’ll have a pretty nice front yard. Work has been going pretty good. The past couple of weeks I feel as though I’ve gotten nothing really accomplished, at least nothing that anyone can see.   • What have We Learned Today…

    Well, today has been an interesting one. It started with the guys not showing up at Perkins this morning. Oh well, I understand it’s early for them. We’ll work something out on Wednesday. My day at work was pretty good. I got a lot done. I had a good chat with Ginny over IM during lunch. She knew I was going to Grease on Sunday. She got on my case about somethings, I won’t mention them here, LOL. After work I headed off to Ronnevik’s to fix their computer. Got everything taken care of and hopefully things will be working a bit better for them. They treated me to a good home-cooked meal and some nice conversation. I got back home and checked email. I…

    A Time of Pruning…?

    Well, it sure seems like I’ve entered into a time of pruning. I got an email tonight that someone has been hired to redesign and take over the camp website. I really haven’t been involved with it much the past year, but it seems like my involvement with camp is coming more to a close. I still have mixed feelings about this. When you give so much towards something and then not be apart of it anymore it’s just kind of a strange feeling. I really hope that they will be served well. I’m kind of feeling a little lost now.     Nothing Exciting, But Frustrated…

    Well, nothing special today. I didn’t even get up until like noon. I was up late, as is most nights. Did some lunch then back to the blog. This blog thing has really taken over. I think the big thing is it’s my only outlet for for talking, don’t really have anyone to hang out with. I really don’t know that anyone would want to sit and listen to me talk about this stuff anyways. I’d be surprised if people even want to read all my dribble. Didn’t connect with any of my friends today, either. They’re probably out of town for the holiday weekend.
