God Confirms It

So I just got done reading my devotional this morning. Wouldn’t you know the subject was exactly part of what I was talking about last night. The “normal” life, or balanced life as the devotional put. Christ’s life, as well as the disciples, was anything but normal or balanced. When it comes to meeting the spiritual needs of others, and doing the things that really count, normality isn’t the way to operate. How refreshing it is to have some good quality time to let God fill me for the day, Amen!

    Wasteful Weekends, Geeks…Gotta Love Em

    So yeah, I pretty much wasted the weekend away again. Not totally, but I could have done a lot more than I did. I guess I sort of get tired of doing stuff, like work, all the time and want some time to just kick back and relax. I’m feeling like I’m kind of spinning my wheels with the web job. I really like to nail down the site design before I do the custom programming stuff. The problem is they’ve given me hardly anything to work with.     Excellent Weekend…

    Well, I didn’t get a post made last night. I just got a little tired to make the post. Also, there wasn’t much that went on Saturday. I got up around 9:30 and got around to getting my remaining leaves cleaned up and taken to the dump before the rain came. I made some bread in the bread machine for the first time. The crust got a little harder and thicker than I would have preferred but it was tasty. I mostly bummed around that day.     Today begins a great step for me. I’ve gotten up in time for devotions & quite time, and looks like I’ll get to work a little earlier. I started reading a devotional I picked up some time ago. Time To Get Serious by Tony Evans. The reading for today seems to fit right along with Pastor Dave’s message yesterday. The key scripture Philippians 3:3-7 was when Paul was talking about all the things he could boast in but that none of it meant anything next to Christ.     A Time of Pruning…?

    Well, it sure seems like I’ve entered into a time of pruning. I got an email tonight that someone has been hired to redesign and take over the camp website. I really haven’t been involved with it much the past year, but it seems like my involvement with camp is coming more to a close. I still have mixed feelings about this. When you give so much towards something and then not be apart of it anymore it’s just kind of a strange feeling. I really hope that they will be served well. I’m kind of feeling a little lost now.     Night Owls Unite…

    So yeah, I think I’ll forever be a night owl. Seems like no matter what I can get myself to bed early at all. Of course this makes it almost impossible to get up early in the morning. You’ll notice I didn’t get me devotions in this morning, er rather yesterday seeing as it’s already tomorrow. If there weren’t things going on so close to 5 I’d just get into work by 9 in the morning and work later. Well perhaps after this weekend we’ll giver a go again. So yeah, works been crazy as usual. Looks like I may have like 3 website jobs coming my way too. Jim & Ginny have been spreading the word. I’m grateful but I just don’t know how…
