If only I had the time to blog like I wanted. Things just got too late tonight. I don’t suspect tomorrow will by much different. I think I might try to get my blogging in either in the morning before work or right after work. Let’s hope!

    A Verse That Describes The Church In Kathirie Sierra Leone

    “They are being tested by many troubles, and they are very poor. But they are also filled with abundant joy, which has overflowed in rich generosity.” – 2 Corinthians 8:2 NLT This morning at Daybreak this verse was one that was part of Pastor Wes’ message. As it was being read I instantly began remembering my experience at the Sunday morning service in Kathirie. As I watched the church members give the morning offerings, giving not only to the general offering but also to a building fund and missions, I could only think about the amazing work God was doing in the village.

    Busy Days, Lazy Nights…

    Just wanted to make a quick post. My days, Monday & Tuesday, were crazy busy. On the other hand both evenings were kind of lazy on my part. Monday I did try working on recording some music. That would have been better if I ended up actually having something to show for the time I spent. I sort of had something, probably was trying to add in some percussion loops to what I had recorded. I ended up having my own timing on what I recorded. Well, of course I didn’t save each take as a seperate recording session, GarageBand still seems a bit odd to work with at times.     Love Your Enemies…

    Matthew 5:44 – So I happened to read a regular text entry on a Podcast that I subscribe to. This Podcast is like an audiobook, actually this is his second book. Well it would seem his site, with posts and comments, was hacked. This in and of itself isn’t a huge deal, except for the fact that the person doing the hacking is claiming to be apart of the cummunity of believers in Intelligent Design. It rather has me annoyed at how twisted people’s thinking get when it comes to their beliefs. How any true Christian can think that by attacking the non-Christian masses is going to be an effective witness is beyond me. How many converts did the Crusades see? I’m sure there were…

    Hoping to Get Back in The Groove…

    Something that came up at our Life Shapes meeting this morning, was the subject of mission. This is something that I’ve been sort of struggling with, in that I’m trying to determine what my mission should be. I think this brings me back to the Purpose Driven Life. I have felt, for a long time, that my heart is for youth. This has been what has drawn me to my years working at Inspiration Point, and my current involvement with the Bethel youth. I’m not sure how the Missional Community of Faith and my heart for youth might be tied together. This is something that I’ll be looking for God’s direction in, as is life in general.     Running…My Physical And Spiritual Race
